With text by D.S. Warner, this piece is a theme and variations on the tune “Beach Spring” from The Sacred Harp (first published in 1844). There is also a brief appearance from the Old 100th tune (originally found in the second edition of the Genevan Psalter), creating a compelling interplay between the two well-known melodies. This piece will be a meaningful addition to any worship service and works perfectly as a general-use anthem.
